City Police Calls Up

At Wednesday’s Kankakee Public Safety Committee meeting, Police Chief Robin Passwater said the number of calls for service to the City Police Department are up this year over last year, up by over a thousand so far this year.   There have been some 80 domestic violence calls and 53 shots fired calls in the city, and its only September.
