Nearly two months after the resignation of Kankakee 7th Ward Alderman Fred Tetter, the City Council last night voted to accept the appointment by Mayor Chris Curtis of Reginald D. Jones to the open seat. Curtis says long time 7th Ward Alderman Carl Brown played a large role in the selection of Jones.
Jones is the pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Pembroke and has been a resident of Kankakee since 1991. He was a one time assistant football coach at Kankakee High School.
