I-57 Crash Kills One

State police are investigating a deadly three-vehicle crash on I-57 in University Park this morning.  Authorities say two cars lost control and rammed into the rear of a semi-truck.  The incident happened in the northbound lanes near Stuenkel Road.  One of the cars burst into flames.  The driver in that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital in serious condition.  The northbound lanes of I-57 at Stuenkel Road were temporarily closed for several hours while officials investigated.  All lanes reopened around 6 am.
