Kinzinger Looking at Options

While former President Donald Trump may have a target on the back of Congressman Adam Kinzinger for votes taken against Trump during the impeachment process, it appears it’s the democrats who are about to take out the congressman.  If the new Illinois Congressional District maps released Friday in Springfield are approved, Kinzinger’s current district will be folded into another heavily democratic district and the congressman will essentially be gerrymandered out of office.  He currently represents Iroquois County and areas west of Kankakee County.  The congressman said over the weekend that he is exploring his options.  Illinois lost one house seat in this year’s census because of a declining state population.
