The Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce held its annual State of the County breakfast this morning at the Knights of Columbus Hall in downtown Kankakee. During his part of the breakfast, Kankakee County Sheriff Mike Downey talked to the group about the state of policing in the County
Downey sounded a bit of an alarm about that future for policing in the state
Downey noted several County Sheriff’s across Illinois have either resigned or announced they won’t seek re-election since the legislature passed the “police reform bill” earlier this year.
