Hoopeston Man Gets 30 Years on Child Sex Charges

In Federal Court in Urbana Monday, a Hoopeston man was sentenced to 30 years in Prison.  27 year old Dalton Burmeister had earlier pleaded guilty to sexploitation of a child and trafficking in child pornography.  He was arrested in 2020.  Prosecutors say at one point Bermeister sent explicit text messages to another individual about vulnerable and trusting children in his care and spread images of the children electronically.
