Kankakee officer recovers following mysterious illness

Kankakee City Police are still trying to figure out what happened to one of their own, when an officer became quickly ill Tuesday while handling an accident. Kankakee Police Chief Robin Passwater says the accident involved a driver that was suspected of having overdosed. The officer was taken to the hospital for observation before being released.
