Manteno Fire Fighters Save Barn

Manteno Fire Fighters were called to a barn fire Tuesday night at 6700 north and 7500 east roads.  Nobody was hurt in the blaze that took 7 and a half hours to put out.   The owner lost 150 rolls of hay and some farming equipment, but the building can be saved.  Manteno fire saying the farmer was able to move the bulk of the hay out of the barn which helped keep the fire to a minimum.  Damage estimates are not yet available.   The cause is still under investigation.
