Covid Numbers Better at 111 Schools

District 111 officials at Monday night’s School Board Meeting reported 27 new cases of covid 19 in the last two weeks.  So far this year 101 students and 30 adults have contracted the disease.  The good news is quarantine numbers are decreasing with 60 students and 1 adult still out.  That’s down from a Delta serge high of 475.  The Daily Journal reports that the district is complying with the state’s vaccination mandate to either get a shot or take weekly tests.  Some 170 district staff members have opted for the testing.
