The annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign got underway recently in the Kankakee area. Local Salvation Army Executive Director Lieutenant T. Scott Parnell
Parnell says if you’re out and about, you might not see a kettle this year, simply because the Salvation Army is having trouble getting people to donate their time
Parnell adds you can sign up to ring at “register to ring dot com”, and Parnell says there’s a virtual choice as well
Additionally, Parnell says you can sponsor a kettle for a day for two-hundred-and-50 dollars or you can sponsor all the kettles for a day for a donation of two-thousand dollars and the name of your family or organization will be placed on the kettle at a local location showing you’re sponsoring that kettle for the day.
