Time is running out to be a part of the Angel Tree program through the Salvation Army. Corps officer Lieutenant MaKayla Parnell says the program helps provide Christmas gifts to children in Kankakee County that otherwise might not have a Christmas
Angel Tree tags are available at Northfield Square Mall, the Bourbonnais Public Library or at the Salvation Army location in downtown Kankakee
The Salvation Army says you can take as many tags as you’re able to buy for, but ask you don’t take more than you can afford and you might make it a project for your club or organization. If you want to help, but are unable to get out to one of the Angel Tree locations, you can also adopt an angel online at SAKankakee.org or by calling the local Salvation Army office.
