Pedestrian Struck, Killed on I-57 Near Peotone

Illinois State Police report one person is dead after a car versus pedestrian accident on I-57 near Peotone this morning. Reports say it happened just after 7:30 this morning when a person, apparently walking in the roadway was hit by a passing car on the southbound side of the interstate near Peotone/Wilmington Road. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
