Grundy County Coroner Investigates Death

The Grundy County Coroner’s office is looking into the death of a 26-year-old Ottawa woman, who’s car was found in the water of Heidecke Lake early Saturday. Reports say hunters found the woman’s car partially submerged near the boat ramps about 5:30 Saturday morning. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The Illinois Department of natural resources, Illinois State Police and Grundy County Coroners office continue to investigate the death.
