Kankakee City Police report a gun arrest. According to reports, officers were called to an apartment in the 200 block of West Chestnut Street about 9:15 Monday morning for a domestic disturbance. When they got there, officers say they spoke with the complainant who told them 27-year-old Cody Stillwell was in the apartment and was pointing a gun at her daughter. When officers entered the apartment, they reportedly told Stillwell to show his hands, but he allegedly refused and began to reach into his coat pocket – at which time officers say they grabbed his arm. Stillwell reportedly continued to resist officers, but was taken into custody. A handgun was allegedly found in Stillwell’s coat pocket. He was arrested by city police for two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon as well as resisting arrest.
