Man Takes Plea Deal, Avoids 1st Degree Murder

A 28 year old Kankakee man has taken a plea deal in connection with the 2017 shooting death of 23 year old Steve Sanders.  Sanders was shot multiple times following what police at the time described as a dispute over an xbox gaming system.  Shizzel Glenn was sentenced last week to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to a lesser charge of conspiracy to commit murder.   He was originally charge with first degree murder for providing the weapon to the man who allegedly fired the gun just moments later.  The gunman is still awaiting trial.
