Morning Crash Sends Two to Area Hospitals

With the snow overnight, there was a rash of traffic crashes across the area this morning. While most were of the minor, fender-bender variety, a crash on Route 113 near 4-thousand West Road this morning sent two people to the hospital. Illinois State Police reports say the accident happened about 6:20 this morning when one car crossed the center line and hit the other nearly head-on. One of the drivers had to be cut from their car. Reports say both drivers were taken to the hospital. One with life-threatening injuries, the other with non-life-threatening injuries.
