Kankakee County Government had to replace nearly a quarter of it’s employees last year. That’s the word County Administrator Karen Smietanski had for the County Executive Committee during it’s meeting this morning in her end of year report on turnover rate.
Speckman noted the number of county employees either voluntarily or involuntarily terminated last year more than doubled from 55 in 2020 to 111 in 2021. Speckman pointed out the numbers seen by Kankakee County reflects what’s happening in the workforce across the state.
