Guilty Plea in Crime Spree

A Sangamon County man is facing up to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to a crime spree that included the robbery of the Odell Bank in Odell on April 9^th.  55 year old John W. Beck of Mechanicsburg also pleaded guilty to robbing The Village Pantry in Paxton on April 18^th and the Fast Stop Store in Odell on April 17^th.   Following his arrest Beck then tried to escape from the Iroquois County Jail.  His sentencing is set for May 25^th in Federal Court in Peoria.
