Braidwood Police make arrest following alleged shooting

Braidwood police report a pair of arrests on gun charges over the weekend. According to reports, it was just before six Sunday morning that Braidwood police were called to the 100 block of North Division for a report of shots fired. When they got there, officers say they were unsuccessful in making contact with those inside. Once they made their way inside, reports say officers found four people and determined no one had been injured in the gunfire. One of those inside, 20-year-old Gabriel Alvarez was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Once taken into custody Alvarez was additionally charged with escape and violating bail by possessing a firearm. 40-year-old Joseph Alvarez was also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
