School mask mandate ends

Illinois is removing its school mask mandate today.  Governor Pritzker said new federal COVID-19 guidance will allow the state to end its school masking requirement.  The change comes a week after an appellate court rejected the governor’s attempt to enforce his COVID mitigation orders for Illinois schools.  The Illinois Supreme Court also denied his appeal of a restraining order in a lawsuit challenging the school mask mandate.
