Domestic dispute results in gun arrest

Just before 11 Saturday morning, Kankakee City Police were called to a domestic dispute in the 11-hundred block of South Curtis. The caller told police they wanted someone with a firearm removed from the home. When they got there officers say they found that person, 20-year-old Claude D, Smith to have an active warrant for his arrest. While taking him into custody, officers allegedly found a loaded handgun. Smith was taken into custody for Aggravated assault, several gun and drug charges along with the outstanding warrant.
