Kankakee City Police make gun arrest

Friday night, Kankakee City Police say they spotted a car in the 800 block of North Evergreen that had a court order to be seized. Reports say the driver of the car, Desmine Harris allegedly ran from officers instead of handing over the keys. City Police reportedly caught up with Harris in the creek on the west side of North Evergreen and a search of the car allegedly turned up a handgun. Harris was taken into custody on gun-related charges.
