Kankakee City Police make gun arrest

Kankakee City Police report an officer was doing a business check early Saturday morning was approached by a person that told him someone in business had a gun in their waistband. According to reports, when the officer approached the man with the gun, the officer said he could clearly see the gun, walked up to the man and disarmed him. Reports say the man, identified as Jordan J. Wells, was taken into custody for weapons violations.
