Iroquois County Sheriff reports gasoline thefts

Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police warn farmers there’s been an uptick in reports of gasoline stolen from rural farm sites. Deputies say it’s been reported that hundreds of gallons of gasoline have been stolen from farms in the Gilman, Onarga and Thawville areas. Most reports are of people siphoning gas out of tanks, but in some cases the entire tank has been stolen. The Iroquois County Sheriff’s office asks everyone properly secure your property and notify law enforcement of any suspicious activities.
