Bond has been set at 4 million dollars each for two men who allegedly carjacked a vehicle last week at gunpoint in Bourbonnais. It happened Thursday afternoon in the 800 block of Gettysburg Drive where the suspects allegedly grabbed a BMW and fired off some 10 rounds as they drove away. That was followed by a chase through Bourbonnais, Bradley and Kankakee, only ending when the suspects’ vehicle and a county squad car collided on Route 45/52 near River Road. The two were arrested following a short foot chase. 24-year-old Anycco M Rivers of Kankakee and 29-year-old Ladonta A. Tucker of Sun River Terrace are both facing multiple charges including aggravated vehicular hijacking, aggravated unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon for starters. Nobody was hurt with the gunfire, but a nearby vehicle was damaged. The Daily Journal reports three weapons were found in the suspects vehicle including what police describe as an SWD-11 9mm machine gun with 33 shells in the clip and one in the chamber.
