Home invasion in Kankakee over the weekend

Kankakee City Police say it was just after two Saturday morning officers were called to a home in the 400 block of South Dearborn Avenue for a possible domestic dispute. When they got there officers say they could hear yelling and other noises coming from the upstairs of the home and after they entered the home say a man, later identified as 40-year-old Darryl McClure came downstairs. Another man in the house told police McClure had forced his way into the home and beat him with a piece of wood, a lamp and other objects in the room. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. McClure was arrested by City Police for home invasion and aggravated battery among other charges.
