Walk a mile in her shoes event to raise awareness of violence against women

The 14^th annual walk a mile in her shoes is coming up at the end of the month.  The event is held each year to raise awareness of men’s violence against women.  It’s sponsored by Clove Alliance, formally KC-Casa.  Participants are encouraged to wear women’s shoes for the walk to symbolize their commitment to the cause.  The walk is Friday, April 29^th with registration at 11 at the Kankakee RecCenter.  The walk begins at noon.  Refreshments will be served following the walk.  The cost is 10 dollars
