Newton County Looking for Escaped Con

Newton County Sheriff’s police are on the hunt for an escaped prisoner. A sheriff’s department Facebook post describes the inmate as a Hispanic man wearing a white t-shirt and jeans. He managed to escape from a department transport vehicle this morning. Police are advising area residents, specifically in the Kentland area, to lock their doors. If you see someone fitting the description call 911.
