It’s starting to sound like a broken record, but gas prices are at all-time highs in the state of Illinois again today. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead in the Land of Lincoln stands at 5 dollars, 40 cents. Up a penny from yesterday and 41 cents higher than a week ago. In Kankakee County gas is 5.12 a gallon on average, 33 cents more than a week ago at this time. Triple- A says Iroquois County is 5.04 on average, Ford County 5.07 and Livingston County just over five-dollars. In Northwest Indiana, gas is running 5.03 a gallon in Newton County, 5.08 a gallon in Benton County and 5.21 a gallon in Jasper County. Nationally, gas is running four-dollars 86 cents.
