Bail Stays as is for Alleged Ambulance Thief

The Chicago man who allegedly stole a Chicago Fire Department ambulance in Chicago’s Chinatown neighborhood in April then led police on a chase that ended at I-55 and Rt. 17 in Dwight made an appearance in Grundy County Court this week seeking a reduction in bond.  His bond was set at 20,000 dollars in April.  The judge denied the request.  46 year old Benjamin Herrington has been charged with Possession of a stolen vehicle.
