Herscher woman killed in crash

A Herscher woman is dead after a crash on Route 102 Friday night. Illinois State Police report the car driven by 52-year-old Heather C. Basham of Herscher was westbound on Route 102 at 3000 West Road when her SUV crossed the center line and hit a Camaro driven by 26-year-old Cody Gall of Momence head-on. Both Basham and Gall were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. Basham later died. State Police say they continue to look into the cause of the crash.
