Bourbonnais Trustees to ask for one-percent sales tax increase

During last night’s Bourbonnais Village Board meeting, trustees took the first step to get a referendum put on November’s ballot to ask village residents if they want to raise the sales tax in the village by one percent. Village Finance Director Tara Latz

Latz added the one percent increase would bring the village up to the same sales tax level as surrounding communities. The proposal will be on the Village agenda for a second and final reading at the next meeting July 18th.
