Chebanse Man Arrested in Shooting of a Chicago Cop

ABC 7 in Chicago reports a Chebanse man is one of three men arrested in connection with the shooting of a police officer on Saturday night in the Beverly Neighborhood.   It happened at a bar where the three got into a fight with another group that spilled outside.  The off duty officer went out to break up the fight.  He was shot in the back allegedly by 22 year old Bryant Hayes of Chicago who police say had been given the gun by 22 year old Justen Krismantis of Chebanse.  The officer had his spinal cord severed in the shooting and is paralyzed, and has a bullet lodged between his lung and his heart. One other man was struck in the leg by one of the 19 bullets fired.  All three men were in court Tuesday and ordered held without bond.
