Man Shot and Killed in Kankakee Overnight

Kankakee City Police are investigating another homicide in the city. According to reports, it was just after two this morning that city police were called to a banquet hall in the one-thousand block of East Birch Street for a report of shots fired. When they got there, officers say they found 28-year-old Andre D. Glass of Kankakee who had been shot while sitting in a car parked in front of the business. Witnesses told police someone walked up to the car, fired multiple shots at Glass, then fled the scene. Glass died at the scene. Kankakee City Police and the Kankakee County Coroner’s Office are investigating the shooting. They ask anyone with information call their office at 815-933-0426.
