No charges in Saturday’s accident in Iroquois County

Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police investigated a single vehicle accident that occured on county road 2900 near 1141 east on Saturday. According to police reports, a vehicle being driven by Maylon M. Hardy the third of East St. Louis was eastbound on 2900 north when he fell asleep at the wheel. Hardy entered the south ditch, then woke up and over corrected going back onto the roadway, entering the north ditch and corn field. Hardy had minor suspected injuries and refused EMS. There was over fifteen hundred dollars worth of damage to the vehicle. No citations were issued.
