Kankakee Veterans Assistance Commission may be moving

The Kankakee Veterans Assistance Commission in Kankakee may be on the move from its current location in the county building on Court Street to offices in Bourbonnais.  The VAC’s Karen Smietanksi spoke at yesterday’s County Board Executive Committee Meeting. If the two sides strike a deal on rental costs the move would take place in the fall.  It would put all of the county’s veterans assistance organizations in the same general location.
