Traffic Stop Ends with Gun Arrest in Kankakee

A traffic stop early this morning in the 700 block of N. Wildwood in Kankakee ended with a woman under arrest.  Police say officers conducted a search of the vehicle after detecting the scent of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle.   Under the front passenger seat officers found a loaded 9 mm handgun that had its serial number defaced.  Sitting in that seat and arrested on various weapons charges was 21 year old Amya Davis.
