Saint Anne woman re-sentenced for fatal 2016 DUI crash

A Saint Anne woman was re-sentenced to five and a half years in prison for fatal DUI crash in western Kankakee County which killed one teen and seriously injured his older brother in 2016. The Daily Journal reports thirty nine year old Carmella L. Larson of Saint Anne was originally sentenced to six years. The decision was made on Tuesday by Circuit judge Michael Sabol. So far Larson has served approximately three years of her sentence. She must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence according to state statute.
