13 Years for Attempted Murder

A Gibson City man was sentenced to 13 years in prison this week after pleading guilty in McClean County Court to attempted murder charges.  45 year old Anthony Hughlett was accused of setting fire to a Bloomington apartment in May of this year.  Even though a woman was in the room when Hughlett set gasoline ablaze, she was not hurt.  There was damage to that and two other apartments.  In exchange for the plea, prosecutors dropped arson charges.
