Gas Continues Downhill Slide

Gas prices continue to fall as we head into another weekend. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of regular no lead gas in Illinois is down to four-dollars-49 cents, down three cents from yesterday and 21 cents lower than the cost a week ago. In the Kankakee area a gallon of gas will set you back about four-07, also down three cents, but still 77 cents higher the the cost a year ago. Triple-A says gas is averaging 4.06 in Iroquois County, 4.40 in Ford County and 4.50 in Grundy County.

Across the state line in Indiana gas is running 3.95 on average in Newton County, 3.94 in Benton County and 4.22 in Jasper County. The state-wide average is four-dollars 11 cents in the Hoosier State.
