Inmate Hospitalized After Attempted Suicide at Jerome Combs

There was an attempted suicide at the Jerome Combs Detention Center this morning.  Kankakee County Sheriff’s officials are crediting quick work by the staff and medical personnel with saving the inmates life.  They say when he left the facility he did have a pulse.  Details on how the attempt was made have not yet been released.
