Gas falls below four dollars a gallon in Kankakee County

The average cost for a gallon of regular no lead gas in Kankakee County has fallen below four-dollars for the first time in a long time. Triple-A says the average cost is down to three-dollars-98 cents in Kankakee county, down two cents overnight and down nearly a buck-50 from the five-dollar-37 cent record high set June 10th. Gas is three dollars 95 cents a gallon on average in Iroquois County, 4.33 in Ford County and 4.32 in Livingston County. The State-wide average for a gallon of gas is down four cents to four-dollars-38 cents.

Over in Northwest Indiana, gas in Newton County is averaging three-88, it’s 3.87 in Benton County and 4.13 in Jasper County. The average cost for a gallon of gas in is 3.93 in the Hoosier State.
