The Defense presents at Livingston County Triple Murder Trial

The defense began to present its case during day 4 Thursday of the triple murder trial of 55 year old Clifford Brewer. The defense brought in DNA experts to testify and said that Brewer may be put on the stand on Monday.  The Cullum man is charged with six counts of first degree murder in the deaths of Clifford’s wife, adult son and a neighbor on Christmas Day 2019 at Brewers house.  The defense contends that Clifford’s wife, Shirley shot both men then took her own life, the state says evidence shows Brewer killed them all.
