Woman hit by train in Wilmington

Will County Authorities still haven’t released the name of that woman, struck and killed by an Amtrak train as she crossed a set of tracks in Wilmington Thursday night. The Will County Coroner’s office says she was crossing the tracks on North Kankakee Street near Chicago Street when she was struck around 8:30 Thursday night and an autopsy showed multiple injuries consistent with being hit by the train.  Wilmington Police and AmTrak Police continue to investigate the incident.
