County Deputies arrest man for alleged burglary

Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police report the arrest of a Kankakee man after he allegedly broke into rural Bonfield garage Friday morning.  According to reports, deputies were called to the home on West Route 17 when the owner returned home and said she saw a man inside her detached garage, but he took off running through a nearby bean field as she walked up to her house.  A short time later, deputies were dispatched for a man walking in the area of nine-thousand-west and Route 17.  Deputies arrested Billy T. Roof the third for residential burglary after the woman allegedly identified him as the man she saw leaving her property.
