Jasper County IN. correctional officer arrested

The Jasper County Indiana Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of a Correctional Officer following an investigation into an incident where drugs and a cell phone were allegedly smuggled into the Jasper County Jail. In a press release, the Sheriff’s office says the investigation lead to the arrest of 29-year-old Shaun Zavoral of Wheatfield on charges of dealing methamphetamine and trafficking with an inmate for allegedly supplying the drug and phone to an inmate inside the jail. Additionally, the press release goes on to say illegal drugs and the cell phone were found when the jail was searched. The investigation into the incident continues. Zavoral had reportedly been a member of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office for about two months before his arrest.
