Shots fired in Kankakee

Kankakee City Police report another incident of shots fired in the city. This one happened just before 10:30 Thursday morning when officers were called to the 200 block of North Entrance Avenue, where they spoke to a pair of witnesses that told them they’d been sitting on the front steps of a building, when someone driving by rolled down their car window and took some shots at them. The witnesses told police the car then continued north down Entrance. Detectives say they found shell casings in the street where the shooting had taken place. Later in the day the suspect vehicle was located by City Police and reports say it had damage consistent with having been shot at. No one was injured in the shooting – City Police continue to investigate.
