Labor Day travel back to normal

Aug 31, 2022 | 10:20 AM

The number of Americans traveling for the Labor Day weekend is expected to rise back up to pre-pandemic levels.  Several travel companies told Reuters that a lot of Americans are squeezing in one more trip on the final holiday weekend of summer, despite higher airfares and flight disruptions.  The travel booking app Hopper says this Labor Day may be tied with Memorial Day as the busiest travel weekend of the summer.  They’re predicting 12-point-six-million travelers will fly in the U.S. from Thursday to Monday.  Adobe Analytics says Labor Day travel spending is up 17-percent compared with 2019.
