Downers Grove man killed in I-55 accident near Dwight

A Downers Grove man was killed in an accident on I-55 near Dwight Thursday night.  Illinois State police say 68 year old Thomas Piekarczyk was killed when a box truck struck the rear of his vehicle that was parked on the right shoulder and pushed it into a ditch and then a cornfield.  Piecarczyk was pronounced dead at the scene.
