State Police look for suspected sex offender

A search is underway for a man wanted in Iroquois County.  State police say Joel Smith of Michigan is a person of interest in an ongoing investigation.  Iroquois County Sheriff’s Deputies were called yesterday to the Amtrak train station in Gilman, Illinois and learned that a girl reported she had been sexually assaulted by a passenger on the train later identified as Smith.  The suspect is considered to be dangerous.
